Our Neighborhood Association - Pine Hills RENEWAL PHASE Organizations, like neighborhoods, go through cycles, and PHNA is happy to report that the association is in a renewal phase. PHNA has a new board, a new organization, and a new and expanded mission. Pine Hills residents are a vital part of this new mission. The neighborhood has been divided into six geographic Areas. EMPHASIZING THE POSITIVE What is a Good Neighbor? PHNA defines a good neighbor as “a person who makes regular, positive connections with nearby people, businesses, and organizations.” PHNA has provided Area Reps with “tool kits” to help residents become good neighbors. The tool kit includes: + Welcome to the Neighborhood Packet - Contains a Pine Hills Directory and important information for newcomers + New Membership Application - PHNA members are given the opportunity to indicate their interests so that they can be connected with other members with similar interests + Good Neighbor Notice - Serves as a reminder of common violations which neighbors may not be familiar with + Thank You Card - For a neighbor who has made significant improvements to his/her property In addition, there are: PHNA hats and T-shirts available for sale through the PHNA website, to help support PHNA activities, support worthy causes, and generate neighborhood pride The opportunity to participate in online chats and forums by joining our Yahoo Chat Group WHAT PHNA DOES FOR ITS MEMBERS - Represents their views before decision-making organizations
- Reaches out to neighborhood merchants, institutions, and organizations and works with them for mutual benefit
- Helps maintain a good quality of life by working with property owners and city officials to address concerns
- Keeps members informed about neighborhood happenings and events through its website, newsletters, and meetings
- Provides a structure for members to get together with neighbors to have fun and to help each other
- Educates others about the benefits of living in Pine Hills
- Provides opportunities to assume decision-making and leadership roles in a dynamic and growing organization
