PROBLEMS WITH STUDENTS/NEIGHBORS IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD? CALL THE UNIVERSITY AT ALBANY "OFF-CAMPUS HOTLINE" 442-5888 24 HOURS A DAY, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK Committee on University and Community Relations During the school year, Pine Hills is home to a large number of students. While most go to the University at Albany, we also host students from The College of Saint Rose, The Sage Colleges, and the professional schools around Albany Medical Center. Although some friction occasionally exists between students and residents, we are lucky to have a terrific organization that helps keep the lines of communications open -- the Committee on University & Community Relations, chaired by Thomas Gebhardt. Mr. Gebhardt is the Director or Personal Safety & Off-Campus Affairs at the University Police Department of the University at Albany. The Committee sends out information to students, helping them to be better neighbors. Just as importantly, the Committee operates a hotline for residents to call to report disruptive students. The hotline is available to take messages around the clock, and Mr. Gebhardt does a terrific job of working with residents and students to resolve differences. He will also pass on messages to the other colleges as needed. Anyone wishing to reach Tom Gebhardt directly can call him at (518) 442-3130. Important information can be found in the Off-Campus Student Survival Guide ____________________________________________________________________________________ OPERATION SAFE CORRIDOR This new program began on March 16th, 2007.
